1st Saturday of the month
Hearing dogs are specially trained service animals that alert people with hearing loss to important sounds like doorbells, smoke alarms, ringing phones, or someone calling their name. They use a gentle nudge or touch to get their handler’s attention and then lead them toward the source of the sound. These dogs provide greater safety, confidence, and independence by acting as an extra set of ears in both home and public settings. They also offer steady companionship, reducing the isolation that often accompanies hearing loss.
Everyone is welcome, whether members or non-members. To assist with planning, please register using the button below.
Our meetings are held in the Club Room at the Creekside Complex in Rossmoor, Walnut Creek, a venue chosen for its strong accessibility features.
